In this chapter, Kairos is brought to a strange location and barely has a chance to greet his master when he is surrounded by all of House Elviore and a different house, as well. Surrounded by vampires who don’t seem especially pleased to see him, he is barely able to think as Adze asks him to complete his most dangerous job yet. As he translates a letter, the danger grows with every minute and each word he translates could send them all to their deaths.
